Ableton Will Not Be Released on Playstation 3

Ableton has issued a public statement confirming that Live will not be released on the PlayStation 3.

Despite the console being discontinued in 2017, a vocal group of producer gamers remains devastated.

“The PS3 was the pinnacle for me,” said one man. “PS4 was too much. PS5, what’s the point? I just wanted to finish my EP on the same machine I used to create a semi-functioning version of FL Studio in LittleBigPlanet.”

Ableton clarified that it had no plans to support the console, nor had it ever suggested it was ever on the table "There isn't even a Table", Ableton said.

“I genuinely don’t know how this rumour got big enough that we had to address it,” an Ableton spokesperson said. “Can you imagine using Max for Live with a playstation controller? What kind of sick world would that even be? We're a DAW developer not the SAW franchise".

Some fans remain hopeful that hackers might intervene, despite having no clear plan beyond “someone online will sort it.”

Ableton closed the statement by saying, “PlayStation 6, however, is anyone’s business. More to come,” immediately causing three YouTube thumbnails to be created.
